Job Description
As a Hardware System Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of SSN’s SmartGrid communications products.
In this position you will support SSN products throughout the entire life cycle from functional specification, system design, schematics and board design, system debugging and performance/conformance testing.
In this position your responsibilities will include:
Interfacing with product groups to determine functional specifications
Hardware board design while collaborating with the mechanical, firmware and manufacturing groups
Managing internal and external resources as the product moves from design through testing to manufacturing.
Supporting the system testing, debugging and certification/conformance testing
Required Experience
5+ years of hardware design and development.
Experience in designing digital and analog circuits.
Experience in designing AC/DC power supplies
Ability to analyze, test and debug digital/analog circuits
Ability to interface with internal groups (Mechanical, Firmware, etc.)
Hands-on experience working with RF products is a plus
Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing standards
Development of board-level and functional testing processes a plus
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
This position requires a minimum of BSEE degree or equivalent. | | | |
